World Of Gems Conference 2017 Proceedings Book
Alan Bronstein Beginning as a diamond broker 1977, Alan is one of the original gemologists to take a closer look at the diversity of colors in the natural diamond world. At that time there were no books, no education, only a few historical references to diamond colors and they were vague at best. With this in mind, Alan set out to curate as many different color expres- sions of diamonds that he could find, afford and would add to the seemingly infinite puz- zle. On this 40-year journey, the story exists as The Aurora Pyramid of Hope and The Aurora Butterfly of Peace. These individual stones that became these artworks have been a resource for major gem studies that have helped research labs and museums glean in- formation to advance our understanding and communication of the nature of colored di- amonds.
